Spiritual and Biblical Reflection
Reflection on the Walk to Emmaus and what we can learn from the story
Revd Nigel Adkinson was born and grew up in Cheshire. He attended the local Grammar School and then began a thirty year career in children and family social and court work, where he met his wife Liz. They have one daughter Katy and two granddaughters Millie and Sophie.
Growing up in a family of faith, church was always an important part of his life. He became a member of the URC at the age of 18 in 1977. Encouragement to explore a call to ministry led to a four year course at Northern College beginning in 2010. Then followed a six year ministry in North Manchester. Liz and Nigel moved to Northampton in 2019. Nigel currently serves as Synod Pastoral Consultant, Convenor of the East Midlands Synod Ordained Ministry and Churches Group and he preaches around the Northamptonshire Churches. He is really looking forward to spending time in Swaledale during Ministers’ Week.
Nigel looks forward to being with you!
