Community Development Worker (Research)

This post is offered as a 4/5 Month Contract, up to 20 hours per week, to conduct a major piece of research throughout the North East.

Churches Together Groups and their local partners in the region are engaged in a wide range of social activities and projects in their local areas.  There is a major need to identify the scope and assess this work to determine the prospects, resources and potential for future development in these localities.

The appointee will have experience in the fields of social and community development, desirably in conducting qualitative research including – conducting interviews, transcription/production of written records, data analysis and report writing

Applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills and sensitivity, be an effective listener and communicator and have an ability to empathise.

The post is offered on a self employed basis at an hourly rate of £15.00.
