Barry Hutchinson and Ruth Crofton are planning to lead a Pilgriimage to Sinai from 5th - 12th November 2009.
"Among other experiences, we will stay in a guest hous in the grounds of St Catherine's monastery for three nights, blimb (or camel ride) up Mount Sinai (where we will hopeflly not receive any stone tgablets), spend time in quietness in various locations within the desert and meet with the Bedouin of the Sinai, a lovely people whose way of life has remained virtually unchanged for centuries. We will be accompanied by Elena Narinskaya, a Russian Orthodox theologian who knows St Catherine's and whose warm personality and knowledge will add much to our trip. There will be ample time for quiet and exploration. We end the week at a four star hotel to reflect on our experience."
The cost will be in the region of £850: ministers (including CRCWs) will be able to claim on EM3 towards the cost. Lay people can seek Lay Training grants. Brochures are due out soon.
