We are sad to announce the death on January 22nd 2007 of Bob West, one of our retired ministers, who was a member of Bellingham Methodist/United Reformed Church, and who was regularly leading worship up until last year.Bob was born at Chedworth in 1923. His father was a minister. He trained as a draughtsman in Sheffield, and then served in the RAF. Later he stouded for his MA at Edinburgh and then trained at the Yorkshire United Independent College in Bradford. He was ordained in 1953.
Bob served at North Owram, Shotton, Fleetwood, Mickleby, Stubbins, and Besses o' th' Barn. He has enriched the lives of many over the years with his faithful service, and his courage in overcoming difficulties has been an inspiration to others. Many will remember his sense of humour; and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
