State of Art audio visual screens The fourth Sunday of Advent at St Andrew’s Church, Monkseaton was also the launching of a new audio visual system which has been fitted throughout the church premises.
The church's press officer Heather Carr explained "St Andrew’s are always finding new and innovative ways to enhance the church experience and four large plasma TV’s strategically placed in our church allowed the full congregation to see the junior church, together with our uniformed organisation, enact the Christmas Story. It was a huge success and the church are looking forward to using this new system for our services, concerts, and productions."
The system will also be made available to the many community groups who use the premises, and will be able to integrate the congregation and audiences for special events in the church and halls.
The installation has been funded by ongoing fund raising through St Andrew's Projects fund.
