An Open Day was held at the Keld Resource Centre on Friday June 26th to celebrate the renovation and refurbishment of the Manse.
We started the day with worship, during which the Synod Moderator led us in a reflection on Psalm 121.
At 11a.m. we were joined by the local M.P. Rt. Hon.William Hague, who looked round the recently re-decorated chapel and the manse. He then moved on to the Public Hall to see the architect's plans and drawings for the future redevelopment of the rest of the Centre.
In the Public Hall were other exhibits, including past records of the Keld Centre, displays and paintings.
William Hague addressed those present. Vic Smith, who won the painting competition, presented him with a signed print of the specially commissioned painting. Small copies of the print were also on sale.
