Reports are coming in of an Angel visiting a kitchen in Nazareth .Neighbours speak of a dazzling Light that alerted them to something unusual. |
However our source can reveal that the Angel brought ‘Good News' that will change our lives! Mary from the local housing estate, engaged to Joseph the Carpenter is expecting a baby. Not just any baby, but God's. Plans are to call the boy Jesus when he is born. This special message was delivered by Angel to Mary as she was busy in the kitchen!
When asked for a comment the family said they were too surprised to reply at the moment. We contacted Joseph for his reaction, and after a few gasps and deep breaths (maybe he is in training for the birth-day!) he said the news was a surprise to him too.
All day rumours and speculation have filled the air, the plan it appears saving embarrassment to both parties Joseph will quietly divorce Mary!
I feel there is more from this event to come!
Keep reading next week!

The Emperor Caesar Augustus has ordered all people living under Roman rule to be counted on a register. We can reveal the orders state that everyone must return to the cities where they were born. This has led to wide spread congestion on many of the tracks and roads to our cities. |
As I file my report many families are already beginning these long and dangerous journeys with goats and chickens in tow. The fortunate ones have donkeys and carts to help with the luggage. However, many face the journey by foot.
I met a newly married couple travelling from Nazareth to Bethlehem by the name of Mary and Joseph. Mary is expecting their first baby soon, and was finding the journey long and dusty.
They have a donkey to carry their luggage, but it has to be said the roads are far from smooth, more like very bumpy, full of holes and stones which make your feet very sore.
Many of the people I met including Mary and Joseph have made no advance booking for somewhere to stay in Bethlehem , and rumours are coming in that the inns, and hotels are full up. More reports will follow as we receive them.

Angels have been visiting again. This time they chose to bring tidings of ‘Good News' to busy shepherds, minding their flocks from possible wolves by night. |
One of the shepherds was able to give this account:
“We had all settled down for the night by the fire, me and the other shepherds, when all of a sudden this bright light appeared.
“It was so bright we had to hide our eyes, it turned our night to day, and this voice spoke telling us not to be afraid, for they brought ‘Good news for all people'.
“Don't be afraid! My heart was thumping, and my knees were knocking. The Angel told us our saviour has been born in the town of David , he is Christ the Lord, and we would find him wrapped in cloth and lying in a manger.
“Then more Angels arrived and all sang praises to God: it was a sight to see! Then they left as quickly as they arrived. Well we didn't know what to do, even the sheep stopped bleating.”
The shepherds have decided to take a lamb and make their
way to Bethlehem to see what is going on. Already there is a bright star shining in that direction.
I shall travel on myself and report what I see.

A baby boy has been born in a Stable in Bethlehem |
The child's parents Mary and Joseph are delighted, although as Joseph said “We are all fine, although a hospital would have been a more hygienic setting. We are getting along just fine now the animals are used to us.”
The couple have named their son Jesus, and he appears a contented baby lying in a manger, for a bed. The animals it appears have been very well behaved, and no one has attempted to nibble at the baby's bedding.
There have been a flurry of visitors. The Inn keeper and his wife spoke of how pleased they were that their annexe had proved so accommodating to a couple in need.
Shepherds have made their way into the stable and left a lamb as a gift! I asked Joseph how they were coping with all these visitors. He said “It's very nice to have so many visits, although it does get a little crowded on occasions.”
Mary it appears is managing to grab some much-needed rest. In case any interested folk want to pay a visit, the stable is easy to locate: it has a very bright and new star above it. This may give an idea of the importance of this child.

Reports are coming in that the Lord's own chosen leader has been sighted. If that were not amazing enough, this chosen person is a small child by the name of Jesus. |
This same boy was born a few weeks ago in a stable in Bethlehem . His parents Mary and Joseph in accordance with Jewish custom were presenting Jesus to the Lord; they had also brought with them a sacrifice of pigeons.
Simeon, a good and godly elderly man, who has lived his life waiting for God's chosen leader claims he was led to the Temple by the Holy Spirit.
Once there he saw Jesus with his parents, and claims he has seen with his own eyes the leader of God's chosen people, who will not only work among Jews, but those who are non- Jewish too.
When asked for a comment Simeon said “If I die tonight, I will die a happy man, for all I have seen in the Temple today.”
An elderly prophetess Anna who has lived within the Temple for a long time, leading a good and honest life of prayer and fasting, spoke of her joy at all she saw today. She too has continued to pass on this good news to all who will listen.
Mary and Joseph appear to be a little taken aback by the news, but this is a situation they are becoming accustomed to.

Visitors from Yorkshire have been seen in Bethlehem . The men from the East Riding on camels (I think that should read the men from the East riding on camels) have followed a star to guide them to where Jesus, a healthy and happy toddler, lives with his parents – Joseph a local carpenter and his wife Mary. |
These visitors are wealthy, and have brought gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh to the child. Mary was a little surprised at the generous gifts, and said that she would put them away until Jesus is a little older. Right now his favourite toy is a wooden donkey made by his dad.
These Wise Visitors brought worrying news. this is what they had to say: “Whilst travelling guided by a star, we called for directions at the palace of King Herod , We told him the new star we followed led us to believe a new king had been born.
“He said to be sure and tell him where we found this king, but we didn't feel we could trust this Herod, and we intend to return home by another route.”
With this news it was farewell, and off on the camels once more.
It is said that Mary and Joseph were shaken by the news. While Joseph gathered his carpentry tools, Mary packed and, with Jesus safely on their donkey, they left Bethlehem by night, on the move once more and travelling to Egypt .
It was sad to see this family leave, but I have a feeling we shall learn a great deal from Jesus as he grows up.
