Cornerstone under new Management The development of St George's in Hartlepool some years ago led to the setting up of a shop at the street entrance, which is at the intersection of Park Road and York Road.
From the summer of 2007, the Cornerstone shop is now being run by St George's themselves. They are selling Traidcraft goods, various kinds of cards, and "pre-read" books - and they are also beginning to stock Bibles and other church requirements.
The shop run by a rota of volunteers - and not all of them from St. George's. All of which is another example of good ecumenical relations in practice: the church is part of a thriving Town Centre Local Covenant Partnership.
Cornerstone is open during the coffee shop opening times: Monday to Saturday, 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.
